The Primary Care Operations Director provides strategic leadership and operational management for assigned primary care service lines, clinics, and programs. This leader ensures high levels of operational efficiency, service excellence, financial performance, and clinical quality in alignment with organizational goals. The Director is accountable for meeting established budget and KPI targets, building and maintaining strong relationships with specialty providers and staff, and driving process improvements across multiple clinics.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in healthcare administration, business, nursing, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of healthcare operations leadership in a physician group or primary care setting preferred.
Proven leadership in operations management, including oversight of clinical and non-clinical teams.
Strong financial background with experience in budgeting, revenue cycle management, and performance analysis preferred.
Broad knowledge of specialty practice operations, including clinical workflows, billing, compliance, provider relations, patient access, and human resources.
Special Skills or Training Requirements
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong leadership presence with a high level of emotional intelligence and a collaborative leadership style.
Provide the ability to lead through change, manage crises, and solve complex operational problems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with EHRs and practice management systems preferred.
