Associate/ Full Specialist Position – Craik Lab
Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

The Craik Laboratory in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is seeking candidates for a Specialist position, at the Associate or Full rank. Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to use expertise in molecular virology to engage in research on HIV host-pathogen interactions. The appointee will also be involved in training other people in the lab who will work with them to speed the progress on the projects. This is a laboratory research position only, with no involvement in patient care services. The appointee will be responsible for the biosafety and chemical safety in the laboratory. The appointee will also be responsible for training visiting scientists and collaborators in the technology of molecular virology. Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed throughout the recruitment period. Salary and rank will be commensurate with the applicants experience and training.
Qualifications:
• Specialists appointed at the Associate rank must possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience in the relevant specialization, by time of hire.
• Specialists appointed at the full rank must possess a terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of experience in the relevant specialization, by time of hire.
