PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency
The Parkland PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy residency program focuses on the development and management of clinical skills to enhance multi-disciplinary and pharmacist-managed patient care in all areas of Infectious Diseases. The residency centers on the development of the knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to identify and implement drug therapy management recommendations. It is a 12 month training program designed to comply with standards established by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Pharmacists completing this residency program will be specialists in providing pharmaceutical care within multiple inpatient and ambulatory care environments, including inpatient consult, antimicrobial stewardship, outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT)
