Residency Special Features: Extensive experiential and teaching opportunities in a hospital-based residency program. Residents will precept pharmacy students and obtain a teaching certificate.Completing the PGY-1 pharmacy residency program at UnityPoint Health - Allen Hospital will equip you with the skills necessary to provide proficient, comprehensive and compassionate pharmaceutical care to a broad spectrum of patient populations. Upon completion of the program, residents are prepared to successfully assume clinical pharmacy roles within health-systems practice, transition to advanced training in the form of PGY-2 residency programs and/or fellowships and to assume teaching responsibilities for future practitioners.
