This program provides a high level of training in pharmaceutical care within a diverse patient population. It is designed to enhance a resident’s clinical, critical thinking, and leadership skills with flexibility to meet individual needs and interest of the resident. Acute care training includes critical care, emergency medicine, medical/surgical, infectious disease, and behavioral health. Ambulatory care includes family practice, oncology, diabetes, and anticoagulation clinic. Longitudinal experiences include major project, medication safety, drug information, formulary management, medication use evaluations, administration, and staff development.
