Job Description
The School of Sciences & Humanities at Wentworth Institute of Technology seeks multiple adjunct faculty to teach lectures and labs for the upcoming academic year beginning in January. The chemistry courses include Chemistry of the Built Environment (for Construction Management students), as well as General Chemistry I and II and Organic Chemistry.
Essential job functions-

Preparing a syllabus for the course and distributing the syllabus to the students, based on recommendation of the School of Sciences and Humanities and the provost office

Teaching lectures and/or labs of sciences courses in collaboration with the course coordinator

Preparing quizzes, labs and exams.

Grading assignments and exams in a timely manner

Meeting students during office hours outside of class as required.
Required qualifications-
Preferred Qualifications-

PhD in Chemistry or an appropriate related field.

1-3 years as a primary course instructor at the college/university level

demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in interpersonal and large group settings

experience using engaged student approaches in the classroom
