In 1976 The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital partnered to create a pediatric pharmacy residency program making it one of the oldest pediatric residency programs in the country. Since that time over 120 individuals have completed their post-doctoral training in this program. The Pharmacy Department at LBCH utilizes an integrated model to provide patient and family centered pharmaceutical care.
