Kaweah Health Medical Center is a 613-bed not-for-profit community based teaching facility anchored by Kaweah Health Medical Center, a 480 bed, Level III trauma center. Our eight-campus facility includes the largest acute care hospital in Tulare County. In addition, an expansive rural health clinic system of outpatient clinics giving patients in rural communities better access to healthcare in Tulare County. The Tulare Rural Health Clinic provides care to underserved patients in Visalia and is the GME teaching clinic for Family Medicine. With more than 300 physicians and 5,000 employees, Kaweah Health provides the people living and working in California's bustling Central Valley with access to high quality healthcare. Kaweah Health PGY1 residency program offers an ASHP-accredited PGY1 program for 2 pharmacy residents.
Residency Learning Experiences:
The Kaweah Health Medical Center PGY1 residency program offers training experiences in a variety of acute care and practice leadership settings. Each month the resident will rotate through a variety of patient care settings where they will have the opportunity to enhance their ability to provide safe and effective pharmaceutical care while being mentored by a clinical pharmacist in that area. Additionally, longitudinal opportunities designed for the resident to complete over a 12-month timeframe, allows opportunities to further enhance new skill sets.

Residency Program Benefits:
Residents receive Medical, Dental and Vision benefits effective first day of the month following employment start, 22 days paid time off, approved leave and travel reimbursement to CSHP Seminar, ASHP Midyear and Western States Residency Conference, and $500 relocation assistance bonus.
