The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio is a 555-bed Community Teaching hospital that offers 4 PGY1 Pharmacy positions. At The Christ Hospital, you will encounter a residency experience that is individualized and structured around you. Our preceptors are dedicated clinicians with an enthusiasm for residency training. You will be challenged to strengthen your clinical knowledge, gain research experience and develop numerous skills such as leadership, communication, and time management.
Required Rotations (8; month-long): Orientation, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Cardiology, Ambulatory Care, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Clinical Pharmacy Management. Critical Care, Cardiology, and Ambulatory Care are considered selective rotations as the resident chooses between several options. For example, both Medical Intensive Care Unit and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit are options to meet the Critical Care rotation requirement.
Longitudinal Rotations: Research, Staffing, Medical Emergencies, Pharmacy Management, Education and Communication
Elective Rotations (choose 3): Oncology (inpatient or outpatient), Primary Care, NICU, Academia, Palliative Care, Transplant, advanced repeat of a required rotation

Optional Teaching Certificate Program at the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy
Precepting experience with IPPE and APPE students on rotation

The Pharmacy Department is an integral component of the hospital and provides 24-hour pharmaceutical care designed to enhance quality, promote safety, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. The pharmacy model employs a combination of centralized, decentralized, satellite, and clinical services.
1. Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree
2. Eligible for pharmacist licensure in Ohio
3. US citizen or legal resident
4. Meets criteria for employment at The Christ Hospital, including a negative drug and tobacco screen and vaccine requirements
