The purpose of the ASHP-accredited Medical Center Hospital Post-Graduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency is to further develop clinical skills of the residents. At the end of the 12-month program, the residents will be eligible for board certification, postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training, or pursue a job in the area of their interest in pharmaceutical care. We also offer a non-traditional Post-Graduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency that is over 24 months. Residents on the non-traditional track will spend half their time on learning experiences and the other half of the time staffing.
