Medical Center Hospital - PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
The purpose of the ASHP-accredited Medical Center Hospital Post-Graduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency is to further develop clinical skills of the residents. At the end of the 12-month program, the residents will be eligible for board certification, postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training, or pursue a job in the area of their interest in pharmaceutical care. We also offer a non-traditional Post-Graduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency that is over 24 months. Residents on the non-traditional track will spend half their time on learning experiences and the other half of the time staffing. The Pharmacy Resident serves as a postgraduate year one (PGY-1) resident for the period of one year in accordance with the American Health-System Pharmacists’ stand
