The VA Salt Lake City Residency Program offers both Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) and Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) residencies. Our PGY2 programs include both Psychiatry and Ambulatory Care. We offer 3 positions for our PGY1 program, 2 positions for our PGY2 Psychiatry, and 1 PGY2 Ambulatory Care position.
All postgraduate programs are 12 months in duration and ASHP accredited.

Salt Lake City PGY1 Programs Requirements:
Proof of US citizenship.
Graduation from an ACPE accredited PharmD program.
Ability to obtain an unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the US.
Completion of one or more of the following; drug screen, background investigation, lab and physical exam, tuberculosis skin testing, Hep B titer.

Site Description:
VA Salt Lake City Healthcare System is a member of one of the world’s largest integrated health care systems. It consists of the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and 10 Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. The George E. Wahlen Medical Center is located in Salt Lake City on an 81 acre plot situated at the foot of the rugged Wasatch Mountains overlooking the city below. It is a 130-bed tertiary care facility serving veterans from the Intermountain West. VASLCHCS is closely affiliated with the University of Utah School of Medicine, which is located adjacent to the Medical Center. The pharmacy residency program has affiliations with the University of Utah College of Pharmacy and Roseman University College of Pharmacy.
