Clinical Pharmacy Specialists provide leadership for all pharmacy clinical activities within the practice area. They apply clinical decision making and participate in the planning, organization, implementation, and follow up of new initiatives to achieve departmental and corporate objectives. Clinical Pharmacy Specialists maintain knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice and serve as a role model to support staff in continued professional development and clinical excellence. A key role of the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is to promote safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapy.

Clinical Pharmacy Specialist Oncology – Dearborn, MI (Corewell Health East)
Clinical Pharmacy Specialist Oncology POEM – Lakeland, St. Joseph, and Niles, MI (Corewell Health South)
Ambulatory Care Clinic positions (Pharmacy Director: Ali Peterson, PharmD)
Variety of open clinics with additional expansion anticipated in 2025.
Requirements:
Required PharmD or bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
Preferred residency training.
3 years of relevant experience as a clinical pharmacist or pharmacy residency/fellowship preferred.
Ideal candidate will have completed a PGY2 residency in area of practice. In absence of residency training, candidates with demonstrated superior knowledge (board certification, considerable practical clinical experience, etc.) in area of focus may be considered.
State of Michigan Pharmacist and Controlled Substance license or eligible to obtain upon hire required.

Our Teams:
The Corewell Health West Michigan pharmacy team consists of over 200 pharmacists and 230 non-pharmacist team members focused on providing high quality pharmaceutical care to improve health in numerous patient care settings. Inpatient pharmacy services are provided in a multidisciplinary, decentralize...d model. Clinical pharmacy specialists and clinical pharmacist teams, with the support of excellent technical staff, are integrated into the many patient care areas and medical teaching environments across various medical specialties. Primary Care pharmacy services are provided by pharmacists with collaborative practice agreements, who provide integrated support to 31 clinics in and surrounding Grand Rapids.
Our Training Programs:
The pharmacy team at Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals has been provided ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency training since 1998. Our Pharmacy Residents and Clinical Pharmacy Specialists integrate with pharmacy learners during the program, including but not limited to PGY1 and PGY2
Pharmacy Residents, longitudinal pharmacy interns, longitudinal Ferris State University APPE students, and additional APPE/IPPE students from varying colleges of pharmacy through longitudinal educational events.
