The ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital  (formerly known as Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak Hospital) has been training pharmacy residents since 1977.  Each year, the program accepts six traditional PGY1 residents into the program with the goal of developing the residents into confident and competent practitioners. There are 8 required learning experiences (Orientation, Ambulatory Care, Critical Care, Drug Information, Integrated Practice Experience, Internal Medicine, Practice Management and Research) with numerous elective and selective rotations available to be chosen by the resident.
