The Program Manager reports to the Office of Experiential and Continuing Professional Education (OECPE) Assistant Dean. Under their supervision, and in collaboration with College Associate Deans as well as the College Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs and Partnerships, this position will manage a variety of responsibilities and project tasks that support the OECPE within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SOPPS). The Program Manager is responsible for oversight and quality assurance of the pharmacy practice experience component of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) curriculum. These pharmacy practice experiences are required by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and constitute 30% of the PharmD curriculum. This position is primarily responsible for managing the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Program for pharmacy students during the P4 year. It is also responsible for the delivery of selected content to students in their P3 year in the fall and spring semesters. This job comprises four major responsibility areas: APPE Program Management, Database Management, Experiential quality assurance, Communication and Information Sharing.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a professional business, medical, or an academic setting required. Excellent computer skills a must, with particular proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, and Access. Strong command of the English language including verbal, writing, grammar, and spelling skills along with a professional, strong client service orientation. Must have excellent planning and time management skills and an ability to orchestrate multiple priorities from multiple sources in a busy environment. Ability to anticipate, organize, prioritize, plan for and organize workflow effectively is essential. Must possess strong customer service orientation toward both internal and external customers. Must be flexible and have evidence of successfully working in a team environment. Proven ability to manage confidential information is required and strong attention to detail skills are essential. Knowledge of medical terminology strongly desired.
