POST-DOCTORAL PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY FELLOWSHIP – Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, has over 40 years of expertise in offering innovative Post-Doctoral Pharm.D. Fellowships that provide extensive training in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry. This 1-year Fellowship position is a joint effort between the Rutgers Institute for Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships (RPIF) and Bristol Myers Squibb. Program emphasis is in US Commercial Regulatory Affairs: Advertising & Promotion. This 1-year Fellowship provides s strategic regulatory guidance within the company on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advertising and promotion regulations to support good business practices. The regulatory advice is provided to the marketing organization to ensure the highest level of ethics and integrity in the promotion of Bristol Myers Squibb products. The group collaborates with a variety of functions including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal, Global Labeling, Managed Markets, Global Regulatory, Safety, and Biometrics. The Fellow will be assigned to a primary therapeutic area. Key activities and learnings will include:

• Gaining an understanding of and ensuring consistency between key federal regulations and Bristol Myers Squibb policies
• Analyzing the impact of FDA Office of Prescription Drug Promotion (OPDP) enforcement actions and assessing the regulatory implication to commercial activities
• Assisting in the regulatory review of proposed promotional materials and programs created by Marketing, Sales, or Corporate Affairs and submissions to OPDP
• Collaborating with matrix team members to advise on the development of marketing campaigns that meet regulatory requirements as well as commercial objectives

The RPIF Program application portal opens at 9 AM ET on October 11th.  Initial interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis virtually (video conference) starting October 21st. To apply, candidates MUST use the RPIF website (http://pharmafellows.rutgers.edu/how-to-apply/) to create a RPIF Candidate Account and upload the required application materials by the dates noted below. Remember that the application process is on a rolling basis, so earlier is better.  Please see our website for additional important recruitment information and dates. 

Initial offers will not be made until December 16th, the AIFA (Alliance of Industry Fellowship Associates) consensus date for first offers.  Once all interviews have been completed, RPIF or the company will notify interviewed candidates of their position-specific candidacy status.

2. Begin securing letters of recommendation because all 3 must be received before you can be fully considered for an offer. All 3 letters of recommendation should be submitted by December 1, 2024.
