The University of Illinois Chicago seeks exceptionally well-qualified candidates for our ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Programs.
The following UIC PGY1 residencies will be participating in PPS:
PGY1 Pharmacy Acute Care (RPD: Ohler)
PGY1 International Pharmacy (RPD: Choye)
PGY1 Pharmacy residents in these programs will gain the knowledge, expertise and skills necessary to independently provide optimum pharmaceutical care in any clinical practice settings. Multiple experiential opportunities exist including, but not limited to, the areas of ambulatory care, critical care, emergency medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, transplantation, and oncology. Teaching and research opportunities are available and mentored by faculty at the College of Pharmacy. All PGY1 Pharmacy residents will participate in the overnight in-house on-call program.

***UIC also offers PGY1 Community Pharmacy (RPD: Djuric Kachlic) and PGY1 Specialty Pharmacy (RPD: Kumor) residencies. These programs are not participating in PPS, but more information can be found on the programs’ websites and representatives will be available at the Residency Showcase during the Monday afternoon session.
Applicants must possess a PharmD and be eligible for licensure in Illinois. Applicants for the PGY1 International Pharmacy Residency are expected to return to their native country to participate in and expand clinical pharmacy services.
