Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Purchasing Manager, is responsible for coordinating and procurement of pharmaceuticals, supplies, and services required by the Department of Pharmacy and UCSF Health. Duties include, but are not limited to, purchasing pharmaceuticals, including controlled substances, and pharmacy-related supplies and equipment, researching and negotiating pharmaceutical pricing contracts, monitoring contract compliance, optimizing contract utilization, mitigating drug and pharmacy-related supply shortages and recalls, duties ensuring supply-chain regulatory compliance and security, duties ensuring regulatory compliance with controlled-substance procurement, and obtaining quotes for capital purchases, equipment and supplies.
