What does Supply Chain Product Management contribute to Cardinal Health Supply Chain Product Management is responsible for identifying, recommending, designing, and implementing new solutions for the Supply Chain organization including new technology features, practices, processes, metrics, or models. Supply Chain Product Management develops the strategic vision, supporting business case, and financials for new products. Manages project timelines and budgets.
The Cardinal Health Pharmaceutical Segment Inventory Management team manages on an average $11B inventory across 30+ distribution centers. With our Operational Excellence mindset and application of lean/six sigma tactics we have invested heavily in our core IT infrastructure and Warehouse Management systems and to ensure we will not "fall behind" in our ability to procure and distribute products to our customers and thus effectively support patient care.
As a Product SME on the Inventory Management team, you will have responsibility for individual inventory management product solutions sets that works towards building/enhancing Cardinal Health Inventory management solutions. You will partner with our product and leadership teams to build and align strategic vision. You will work with business users to drive discovery research, problem validation and solution validation. You will support investments in your product by partnering with stakeholders and sponsors. You will quickly learn the Cardinal Health business and the Inventory Management processes to build, improve, and maintain your product.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all the functional and technical aspects of the product and its features meet user requirements.
Collaborates with business users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
Translate the strategy into actionable tasks and work with cross-functional agile teams to execute those requirements.
Partners in developing user stories.
Partners with Product Manager and other Agile team members is designing the product features.
Responsible for requirements, development and testing the designed features.
Responsible to collaborate with leaders in developing/updating the business roadmap and business cases.
Monitoring, evaluating product progress at each stage of the process and be able to articulate progress, accomplishments, and challenges in various stakeholder meetings.
Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updated functionality.
Participating in sprint planning meetings.
Work closely with Enterprise IT on technology needs for productdevelopment.
Build relationships across the Inventory Management team, Procurement/Sourcing and Systems teams to inform decisions and maintain feedback channels.
Inventory Management product scoping, design, activation, and deployment.
Support a product management practice to align technology, finance, and business teams.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals.
Collaborate cross-functionally and liaise with internal and/or external stakeholders, including senior leaders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
2-3+ years of experience in Inventory Management, Supply Chain IT or Business roles preferred
Experience driving or leading operational metrics or dashboards, leading Automation or AI/ML solutions is preferred
Strong or in-depth knowledge in one or many of these functional areas is preferred: Inventory Management, Sourcing or Demand Planning and Order flow
Ability to take an idea and build a feature, close gaps, create and run queries to investigate issues is preferred
Experience documenting requirements, user stories, and testing the solutions preferred
Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
May contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Works on complex projects of large scope
Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
Completes work independently; receives general guidance on new projects
Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives
May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues
Anticipated salary range:$75,200 - $107,400
