We are seeking a FT and or PT general pediatrician to join our practice. Experienced and newly trained pediatricians welcome. The position(s) are immediately open. Board certification/board eligibility (AAP) is required as is appropriate NJS licensure, CDS and DEA.
FT schedule includes one regular weekday off and equal share with the other FT providers for weekend coverage. PT schedule is negotiable, but generally includes three weekday workdays and one weekend on call per month. We have an after-hours nurse answering service through Advocare.
Positions include paid vacation and sick days, health insurance coverage, malpractice insurance coverage, 401K plan, HSA plan options, AAP membership, bonuses.
Our practice first opened in 1955 as The Pediatric Group. We are proud to carry on the tradition of providing accessible excellent pediatric and adolescent general medical care in the community as Advocare The Pediatric Group. Advocare is an independent physician-owned and governed medical organization.
Our practice is relatively small which allows us to provide more personalized and friendly care to our patient families from birth through age 22 years. The Pediatric Group is known for its "Doctor Call in Hour" from 8:00 to 9:00 am daily when patients may call and speak directly to our providers without having to wait for a call back. We have an in-office lab. Patients have the option for blood draws by our nurses or to go to a local lab. Our office space is in a newly renovated building on a historic street downtown.
Our providers are on staff at Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) where we care directly for well newborns. The NICU, pediatric floor and ER at PMPH are staffed by pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia 24 hours a day. There is excellent communication between the hospitalist staff and private providers over mutual patients.
Princeton is a wonderful bustling university town. The drive from Princeton to Philadelphia is one hour, and the drive to NYC is 1.5 hours. We are close to many Jersey Shore locations as well as to the Pocono Mountains.
Our patient population is very diverse including families from Princeton, surrounding towns in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and elsewhere. Princeton University and the large pharmaceutical companies in the area, for example, draw academics and scientists from all over the world.
