Job title: Senior UI Development Architect
Work location: Irving, TX (Hybrid role)
Position Summary:
The Senior UI Development Architect position is primarily responsible for developing and architecting applications across several businesses within Mckesson corporation. Must have strong hands-on experience creating large-scale data intensive and interactive web application. Works closely with developers, designers and business users to achieve the organization goals
Must have skills:
- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+), proficient in leveraging the latest web technologies, and adept at crafting clean, developer-friendly code.
- 5+ years of expertise in the design and architecture of reusable, data-intensive UI components across a spectrum of applications--leveraging Vue, React, and NextJS--backed by the seamless integration of RESTful and GraphQL services in at least 3 distinctive projects.
- Strong understanding of UX design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with UX designers.
- Ability to write codes on regular basis along with the architecting, design of the applications
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Experience building Restful API and web services using Nodejs.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Advanced knowledge of ReactJS, and VueJS/NextJS Architecture:
- Experience with creating large-scale data intensive and interactive web application designs/ solutions, specifically with ReactJS/ VueJS.
- Experience with complex state management, specifically with state management tools like Redux, react query or other similar.
- Experience designing and writing UI unit tests (Jest, Jasmine, etc.)
Roles and responsibilities:
- UI Architecture Leadership: Define and drive the overall UI architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
- Nature of job involves: 50% of regular coding activity, 30% of design & architecting, 20% of reviews etc
- Work closely with product managers, solution architects, UX designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective UI solutions.
- Collaborate with backend developers to ensure seamless integration between the UI and server-side components.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies.
- Conduct regular code reviews of the deliverables from system integrators/ contractors to ensure adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and maintainability.
- Implement and enforce best practices for UI development, ensuring a high level of code quality.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in UI applications, optimizing code and assets for speed and efficiency.
- Technology Evaluation and Adoption: Evaluate new and emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to UI development, making recommendations for adoption based on their potential impact and benefits.
- Contributes to white papers, guides, how-tos, and other technical documentation that clearly explains the architectural vision, promotes technical direction, and serves as a reference for the UI developer community.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred or relevant professional experience

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$117,200 - $195,400
