The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at South Shore University Hospital is a twelve month program designed to enhance independent practitioner growth in provision of clinical and operational pharmacy services. This accredited program will develop competence in direct patient care, medication therapy knowledge, and pharmacy leadership. Training opportunities include clinical services in the acute care and ambulatory care settings, medication use policy development, and research and education. The resident will develop a broad understanding of pharmacotherapeutic principles, and socioeconomic issues affecting pharmacy practice.
