POST-DOCTORAL PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY FELLOWSHIP – Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, has 40 years of expertise in offering innovative Post-Doctoral Pharm.D. Fellowships that provide extensive training in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry. This 2-year Fellowship position is a joint effort between the Rutgers Institute for Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships and Merck & Co., Inc. Program emphasis is in Global Scientific Content for Oncology, ID/Vaccines and General Medicine teams. This 2-year Fellowship provides a unique opportunity to create and work with external vendors to develop scientific content, including medical information letters, verbal response documents, slide decks, and digital/web-based medical content. As well as being involved in Congress support and launch activities entailing preparing/sharing scientific content plans and developing content based on the needs of the cross-functional medical team. The Fellow will gain experience in engaging with key departments such as Global/Regional Medical Strategy, Field Medical, and Legal in the review of scientific content to ensure cross-functional alignment. Another component is the contribution to key scientific content-related training initiatives as needed. During the second year, the fellow will have an opportunity to rotate through Global Medical Information, Global Health Systems, and Global Scientific Training. 

University-based experiences complement the industry experiences and include a Professional Development Series; opportunities for collaborative research, publication, and teaching; and participating/leading Rutgers Fellowship committees. The RPIF program will be conducting initial interviews on a rolling basis virtually (video/teleconference) starting October 23rd. Remember that the application process is on a rolling basis, so earlier is better.  Please see our website for additional important recruitment information and dates. 

Once all interviews have been completed, Rutgers or the company will notify interviewed candidates of their position-specific candidacy status.

2. Begin securing letters of recommendation because all 3 must be received before you can be fully considered for an offer. All 3 letters of recommendation should be submitted by December 1, 2023.
