The Manager, Health System Outpatient Program (HSOP), Specialty GPOs, is a critical role for the success of this offering to Cardinal Health customers. Working across the entire Cardinal Health pharmaceutical segment, the Manager has responsibility and accountability for ensuring all teams involved in the delivery of the HSOP are supported and have knowledge of the resources required for effectively executing the program; all processes remain aligned, are operating seamlessly and are continuously improved as needed; and that metrics for success are monitored, tracked and prepared for reporting to leadership. The Manager will be responsible for supporting the program strategy and assisting in the evolution of the program as the market changes. This role also will partner with the Implementation and GPO Membership Teams and serve as an advisor to the sales organization as they prospect and engage new customers to determine program qualifications and answer program specific questions.
Location: Fully remote - ideally targeting individuals living within EST/CST
Responsibilities
Supports ongoing evolution of the strategy by applying knowledge and understanding of the specialty pharmaceutical and health system marketplaces.
Maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive environment and creates a repository of HSOP program parameters and market factors impacting the use of specialty pharmaceuticals in outpatient specialty care.
Supports as the program leader and oversees the operating model for all functions and teams, and ensure all components of the program are operating efficiently and effectively.
Assists and / or partners with cross-functional teams in development of new offering components and identifying required process and technology changes, assisting with developing and deploying the solutions.
Escalates issues in a timely fashion as they arise across all stakeholder groups.
Serves as an internal advisor to the sales organization as they prospect and engage new customers to determine program qualifications and answer program specific questions to ensure sales teams are able to respond to customers clearly and expeditiously.
Monitors HSOP performance metrics/dashboards/reports and provides results to program leader on a mutually agreed upon cadence.
Assists in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for the Health System Outpatient Program (HSOP).
Provides regular updates to program leader and internal staff on mutually agreed upon action items.
Executes on agreed upon action items in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Understanding of (and experience working with) operations of physician office GPOs either within the business or as a business partner
Working knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution
Minimum 4 years or more general business/or service experience, preferred
Experience in working with health systems either internally or as a business partner, preferred
Understanding of and experience working with specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers, including concepts and implications of class of trade
Customer service, problem-solving, and analytical skills required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
