We are seeking a research associate to support research focused on cancer vaccine development and the design of tools to study hypoxia (low oxygen) in the tumor microenvironment. The research associate will be working directly with a postdoctoral fellow and graduate students in the Laboratory for Advanced and Multifunctional Polymeric (LAMP) Biomaterials lead by Professor Sidi A. Bencherif in the Chemical Engineering Department at Northeastern University in Boston. This is an exciting opportunity for scientists looking to gain laboratory experience in cancer research and may serve as a steppingstone for individuals looking to pursue graduate school, medical school, a career in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, etc.
About the lab: We work at the interface of polymer science, bioengineering, and immunology to detect, treat, or prevent disease through the design of novel immunologically active biomaterials. Our work involves cells and animal models, and incorporates tools from chemistry, engineering, and immunology. Our laboratory values diversity and expects all lab members to foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
Bachelor's Degree in science, including but not limited to Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, etc.
