The Frederick Health Pharmacy Practice Residency Program develops practitioners who are self-directed and prepared to assume an advanced practice in a hospital environment. Program graduates demonstrate advanced pharmaceutical care expertise, administrative skills, time management proficiency and independent thinking that prepares them for leadership roles within their practice setting and the profession.
The residency program is led by Rhiannon Marselli, PharmD, Residency Director under the leadership of Cheryl Peterson, PharmD, Director of Pharmacy Services. The Pharmacy has academic affiliations with many schools of pharmacy including, University of Maryland, Shenandoah University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, College of Notre Dame Program among others.

Founded in 1898 by a group of Frederick City's leading ladies, Frederick Health has been serving the health care needs of the Frederick community and the surrounding regions since it opened its doors in 1902. Today, Frederick Health Hospital is a 309 bed hospital with a fully integrated electronic medical record and information services meeting HL7 standards. Frederick Health Hospital received it's Magnet Designation in 2020. Additionally, Frederick Health offers state of the art imaging services, advanced Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular Surgery, and has been designated as a primary stroke center by the American Heart Association Additionally, Frederick Health is a certified member of the MD Anderson Cancer Network.
