The Manager, Specialty Retail Pharmacy will lead and oversee a hospital-based outpatient specialty pharmacy. Duties include oversight and accountability for all administrative, financial, and operational aspects of a specialty pharmacy. In addition, duties may include: dispensing, patient advocacy, accreditation and clinical support, patient consultation, medication therapy management, management of high-risk patients and complex drug therapies.
Accountabilities
Accountable for all aspects of the specialty pharmacy department's daily duties and operational performance, in addition to leading and directing pharmacy staff.
Responsible for dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers
Maintains open communication and is available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation
Provide professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facility
Engages in the planning of new pharmacy initiatives and management of existing patient care programs
Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
Maintain a professional presence throughout the designated facility and hospital.
Assure pharmacy services and activities are carried out to meet goals and standards of Cardinal Health, the client/hospital, and specialty accreditation bodies.

Qualifications
PharmD: Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
Current license to practice Pharmacy in Maine or ability to obtain, and maintains all required CE
3+ years experience management experience
5+ years experience in specialty and retail pharmacy, preferred
340B understanding and experience
