Position Summary: The Pharmacy Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the purchase of all pharmaceuticals for MultiCare Health System, assuring a cost effective and reliable acquisition and inventory control system for all drug products. This position works under the direction of the Director Pharmacy Supply Chain. Work situations are a variety of routine and non-routine functions requiring analysis, organization, independent thinking and judgment, and decision making within the scope of the positions responsibilities. Decisions beyond position scope require the review and approval of the Pharmacy Director Pharmacy Supply Chain. Internal contacts include staff and management throughout patient care areas. External contacts include vendors, drug representatives, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Minimum Requirements: Five years pharmacy tech experience; pharmacy purchasing experience preferred Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting minimum qualifications
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Pharmacy Technician registration in the State of Washington BA degree in a related field preferred
