What Territory Management - Distribution contributes to Cardinal Health
Direct Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers through face-to-face or telephone contact to meet individual and organizational sales objectives.
Territory Management - Distribution is responsible for cold calling, prospecting and building relationships that will increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within a specified product line, business segment and/or geography. Focus areas will include driving new business as well as increasing penetration in existing accounts. Sells products and services that help facilitate patient care predominately through optimizing the supply chain and the selection and management of the products within.
Accountabilities:
Understand customers current/future product and services needs
Manage product mix by introducing customers to full Cardinal Health product and service lines
Focus on territory GP growth
Support efforts to introduce new product and service categories
Maintain product knowledge to better position value add services
Proactively seek contract renewals
Grow territory profitability
Grow territory revenue
Manage territory expenses
Assist with management of accounts receivable
Manage product mix
Drive Cardinal Health brand product utilization
Lead efforts to introduce new product categories
Maintain knowledge of the supply chain in order to better position value add services (i.e. Inventory Management, OptiFreight Logistics, Pharmaceutical offering)
Retain customers by building customer loyalty
Primary liaison between the customer and Cardinal Health support functions to ensure mutual expectations are met
Drive optimal Supply chain effectiveness within accounts
Efficient territory management utilizing internal tools (i.e. SalesForce.com, Microsoft Office)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Min 2 years related sales experience, preferred
Proven product knowledge in business area
Must be experienced with business development and cold calling
Strong organizational skills
Strong business acumen
Demonstrate history of high achievement and coachability through new challenges
Ability to travel as needed (about 4-6 overnights a month on average)
Valid driver's license
A Covid-19 vaccination is required in order to be employed in this position. This includes either:
2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine
1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
1 booster dose of the vaccine (Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, or Pfizer)

Anticipated Pay Range: Base range $75,000 - $82,000 + incentive plan eligibility
