The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.
Data Analytics applies business process knowledge and data analytics to develop, recommend and communicate timely, accurate, relevant and actionable insights to support business decisions and objectives.
What Commercial Excellence contributes to Cardinal Health
Cardinal Health's Pharma Commercial Excellence is the organization designed to improve our seller's focus and effectiveness by leveraging scale, process improvement, clarity of accountability and speed to support and service the internal sales teams and external customers. This role will reside in the Commercial Insights/Customer Experience (CICX) pillar of Commercial Excellence. CICX's mission is to deliver insights derived from analytics to the frontline and other managers/executives to inform the best commercial actions.
Responsibilities
Receives, interprets, and communicates data from prospective customers to help determine potential conversion strategies.
Uses knowledge of both the business and data to discover and/or anticipate problems or opportunities where data can be leveraged to address the need.
Interprets results of analyses, identifies trends and issues (forecasting), and develops alternatives to support business objectives.
Applies data visualization, descriptive, and summary techniques for discovery and timely insights (data exploration, ad-hoc queries, and analysis).
Applies data aggregation, descriptive analysis and data presentation techniques and tools to communicate complex findings and recommendations to influence others (internal and external customers) to act.
Collaborate with various stakeholders across multiple classes of trade within the pharmaceutical segment to gather requirements, communicate project plans, and ensure alignment to our strategy and priorities.
Demonstrates ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences and mediums.
The role will also create and manage existing tools, such as scorecards and dashboards, and look for ways to enhance or improve upon speed, process flow, functionality, and overall value.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
2-4 years of experience preferred
Experience in self-service analytics tools (Alteryx, SQL, SAS) preferred, data visualization tools (Tableau) preferred, Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS) preferred, and Scripting Languages (Python, R) preferred
Ability to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at all levels of technical ability and expertise.
Attention to detail and business acumen, with the ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work flexible or eastern hours as needed.
