Position Summary A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available immediately in Dr. Steve Lee's laboratory in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Illinois Chicago (https://stevelee.lab.uic.edu/). The Lee lab is currently working on development of antibody-based cancer vaccines.The Postdoc Research Associate will be involved in cancer vaccine design and development. At the same time, will also learn cutting-edge cellular and molecular analysis techniques including 3D multiplex microscopy and spatial cell multi-omics that have been developed by the Lee lab.
Duties & Responsibilities
Involved in cancer vaccine design and development
In vitro and in vivo immuno-assays
Data analysis and quantification
Learn cutting-edge cellular and molecular analysis techniques including 3D multiplex microscopy and spatial cell multi-omics
Keeping the accurate record of the experiments suitable for writing manuscripts and grant proposals
Presenting the results at scientific meeting
Participate in the weekly lab meetings, Journal Clubs and common seminars of the Department
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications PhD degree in Immunology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Protein (or antibody) Engineering, Drug Delivery, or a related discipline.
Research experience (at least 2 years) in studying cancer research, immunotherapy or vaccine is essential.
Preferred Qualifications Candidates who have research skills including in vitro and in vivo (mouse) immune characterizations using immunoassys (e.g. flow cytometry, immune cell culture, ELISpot, and TCR assay, handling and treating mouse, etc.) are preferred.
