This is a hybrid position servicing our client Reading Hospital, located in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Full time, 40 hours per week. Shifts are 8 hours M-F between 8 AM and 5 PM.
AmerisourceBergen has managed and staffed the Reading Hospital Ambulatory Pharmacy inside of the 700 bed Reading Hospital since 2017. In 2023 a second community pharmacy will be opened to serve the Doctors Office Building located on campus.
We foster a culture where career development and training play a key role as our staff gain experience in many aspects of ambulatory and specialty pharmacy. We currently employ pharmacists in both clinical and ambulatory settings with a support staff of technicians in various roles. We are excited to welcome new team members to continue to grow our team and kickstart new careers.

Specialty Pharmacy
This position will be under the general direction of the Specialty Program Manager of Reading Hospital Ambulatory Pharmacy. Associate will work closely with other consulting professionals, responsible for providing remote and on-site operational and client service support. Great communication skills and thorough understanding of retail pharmacy is optimal to succeed in this role.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather, analyze, interpret and package external and internal data.
Develop goals and objectives that tend to growth of specialty pharmacy and ambulatory clinical pharmacy program.
Design and implement business plans and strategies to promote attainment of goals.
Maintain relationships with partners/vendors/manufacturers.
Develop presentations for client; demonstrate ability to tailor information to intended audience.
Assist with project management activities such as action documentation and status reporting.
Contribute to quality and safety though development of plan of correction, quality improvement plan, or corrective/preventative action plan.
Administrative duties associated with interviewing, onboarding, and training.
Effective notetaking and meeting summaries.
Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in the use of consulting tools such as Microsoft Office, Epic EMR, and TherigySTM.
Performs related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Normally requires a minimum of two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible pharmacy experience; bachelor's degree program preferred. Pharmacy technician certification with a national technical certification organization, such as Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or other comparable national certification or comparable state certification is preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to work quickly and accurately under time and volume constraints
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to resolve patient issues quickly and creatively in order to improve customer satisfaction
Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, services and drug interactions
