The USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate-Pharmacoepidemiology & Drug Utilization Research. This position is with a newly established Program on Medicines and Public Health. This position is available for 1-year and renewable contingent on successful progress and available funding. Qualifications
Applicants must have a doctoral degree in pharmacoepidemiology, epidemiology, health policy or health services research. One to three years of experience is preferred in health care research, industry, consulting, government, or an academic environment.Â
Prior experience with advanced pharmacoepidemiologic methods and/or geospatial methods is desired.
Prior experience working with and analyzing large databases (administrative claims healthcare data, electronic health records in particular) using R, SAS and/or STATA statistical software is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates with a compelling publication record, evidence of substantial research productivity, and ability to successfully communicate scientific information.

The annual base salary range for this position is $64,480 - $75,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidateâs work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
