The USC Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is currently accepting applications for a seasoned Senior Financial Analyst (Financial Analyst II) to provide both academic and health system coordination in ensuring the accuracy and transparency in its financial operations across all its segments. As a member of the Finance Team, the Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate mainly across two main teams, administration, and the Retail arm to achieve segment and organizational goals and to aid in the achievement of the Schoolâs strategic vision.
The Senior Financial Analyst (Financial Analysts II) will be responsible to provide accounting support ranging from; the aiding in the preparation of the Schoolâs Annual Budgets, Projections of Financial Performance, Monthly Monitoring and Reporting of the Schoolâs Spend, Monthly and YTD performance to its budget, and profitability in its various arms of its business that includes Academic, Retail, Research (Grants), Fellowship, Resident, and its Hospital Affiliated units.
Preferred Education: Masterâs in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics
Job Knowledge: This position requires a high degree of knowledge in Accounting, Financial Analytics and the Healthcare Retail accounting and reporting areas. The successful candidate has worked in a Central Budget Administration Capacity, has a solid understanding of Month End Close Accounting Process (Reconciliation of Accounts) and a track record for proven financial literacy and advance use of Analytical Tools (Excel, Access, Tableau etc.)
Preferred Experience: The successful applicant will have 3 â 5 yearsâ experience in Financial Reporting (Operations) in Retail within a Healthcare Environment.
Preferred Special Skills/Equipment: Demonstrated competencies in the use of Finance/HRIS Systems and the ability to document workflows and standard operating processes for various financial areas for the school. Technical expertise in financial modelling to aid in the continuous projections for transparency in financial performance.
The annual base salary range for this position is $92,000 - $100,000.
