Job Summary
Primary technical writer for study protocols, analysis plans, scientific reports, publications, and regulatory responses
Primary pharmacoepidemiology subject matter expert for client-oriented projects, including explaining study details, presentation of results, and proposal review
Collaborates with research team and clients to develop and answer questions related to pharmacoepidemiology.
Leads scientific initiatives and guides decisions around study development.
Ability to conduct complex analyses when necessary preferred.
Mentors junior staff.
Qualifications
PhD in Epidemiology or Biostatistics
Past statistical programming experience required; SAS or R strongly preferred
Five years of directly related experience, knowledge and competence with grant application, statistics, data analysis, program evaluation, and scientific writing, required.
Experience with multidisciplinary collaboration, required.
Experience in business development and strategic growth preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and independently.
Skills and Abilities
Expertise in development and scientific implementation of federal and non-federal (e.g., industry, foundation) grant funding, contracting, and administration processes.
Possesses scientific and leadership skills and demonstrates the ability to collaborate and foster inter-organizational relationships.
Effective written communication skills and verbal communication skills including one-to-one, in small groups and in public speaking contexts.

The RADARS System is composed of multiple signal detection systems and a Scientific Advisory Board and is an independent operation of the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center (RMPDC).
The RADARS System measures rates of abuse, misuse and diversion throughout the United States, contributing to the understanding of trends and aiding the development of effective interventions. These data assist pharmaceutical companies in fulfillment of their regulatory obligations such as risk evaluation and mitigation strategies (REMS).
