Program Overview: Our PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics residency will provide the skills necessary for the practical application of pharmacy informatics and automated technology assessment principles in integrated healthcare systems. The resident will be involved with every aspect in the management of pharmacy data applications, data support and analysis for pharmacy and medical center leadership, pharmacy technology assessment, implementation, and maintenance. The resident will gain experience with Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS), Computerized Prescriber Order Entry (CPOE), Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA), medication storage and retrieval devices (Omnicell®), and medication dispensing robotics (ScriptPro®).
