Summary of Position: This position is located at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, Twin Cities in the Department of Pharmaceutics.
The laboratory of Dr. Raj Suryanarayanan in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy (UMN CoP) is seeking a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Associate in the field of protein formulations. We are looking for a motivated and independent postdoctoral researcher with extensive experience in characterization of monoclonal antibodies and/or other protein pharmaceuticals. The project is an international collaboration and will require extensive interaction with scientists in several other institutions.
The employee will work under the guidance of Professor Dr. Raj Suryanarayanan in his research laboratory, based on the Minneapolis campus. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 70%: Design and characterize macromolecular dosage forms – the focus will be on biosimilars; Coordinate work with collaborators – both in USA and overseas; Collect, summarize and interpret the results
25%: Write manuscripts and reports for funding agencies
5%: Routine laboratory activities
Supervision: None – this person will work directly with the PI
Working Conditions: The majority of the work will be performed in a general lab setting. Work also includes travel for data presentation and may also include nights/weekends to facilitate experimental progress.

Degree and/or Credentials:
Ph.D., or equivalent is required.
Degree in related field preferred: Pharmaceutics, Chemical/Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Chemistry.
