The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health is recruiting a part-time Project Coordinator (20 hrs/week) for the Columbia-Otsuka Center for Clinical Pharmacoepidemiology and Health Outcomes Research headed by Dr. Alfred Neugut. The Center is a novel industry-academia collaboration between Columbia (centered in the Department of Epidemiology) and Otsuka Pharmaceuticals, a major drug company with its headquarters in Japan and with its U.S. affiliate in New Jersey. The Project Coordinator will assist in scheduling group meetings, conducting literature reviews, organizing seminars and workshops, and in ad hoc research work. The Project Coordinator will be the primary liaison with the Columbia Epidemiology Department???s grants management staff as well as the liaison with administrative colleagues at Otsuka and will maintain documentation of Center activities while ensuring that projects are properly assigned and completed. The Project Coordinator will also support the development of projects by submitting and maintaining IRBs, analyzing preliminary data, writing and editing manuscripts.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor???s degree and a minimum of two years of directly relevant experience in an epidemiological research environment is required.
The successful candidate must possess a high level of initiative, clear communication skills, and attention to detail in addition to a demonstrated ability to be flexible to the study???s evolving needs.
Preferred Qualifications
A master???s degree in epidemiology or a related field and familiarity with data collection protocols is strongly preferred.
