Ochsner Pharmacy and Wellness offers a one-year, PGY1 community pharmacy residency with an emphasis on specialty pharmacy. It is designed to provide a range of unique community experiences in a progressive environment committed to patient care. Two positions are available each year. This program is currently under ASHP candidate status for accreditation.
The Community Pharmacy Residency (PGY1) is a one-year program that provides diverse experiences in pharmaceutical care in the community practice setting. Residents are exposed to a variety of practice areas in an ambulatory care and outpatient pharmacy environment to build and expand the knowledge and skills necessary for direct patient care.
