PGY1 pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of advanced clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
Goals
This Pharmacy Residency Program at Menorah Medical Center is a comprehensive program that emphasizes the development of advanced pharmaceutical care. After an initial orientation to the department, the resident begins a series of concentrated and longitudinal learning activities designed to meet the goals and objectives of the Menorah Medical Center residency program. The program aims to develop the resident into a competent and confident practitioner in:

Accreditation Status: Candidate (Residents graduating from programs in candidate status will receive a certificate of completion indicating the resident is a graduate of a candidate program. Upon successful accreditation, the resident will be re-issued a certificate retroactive to the date of application for accreditation indicating completion of an accredited residency. Graduates of a candidate program are eligible to pursue PGY2 residency training.)

Requirements
U.S. citizenship or permanent resident
Hold a degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education accredited school of pharmacy
Achieve Kansas pharmacist license within 90 days of beginning of residency year

Menorah Medical Center will manage the application process for its pharmacy residency programs through ASHP's PhORCAS (Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application) process. Candidates must submit the following materials through PhORCAS by DECEMBER 31ST:
