Pennsylvania Hospital PGY1 Pharmacy Residency - Penn Medicine

The pharmacy residency programs at Pennsylvania Hospital are designed to give you a fulfilling and well-rounded learning experience. During this program, you will have exposure to a multitude of pharmaceutical areas of practice which will broaden your knowledge in a variety of areas while allowing you to find your niche within the pharmacy profession.

• A variety of clinical experiences providing a broad range of expertise in the pharmacy field
• A comprehensive understanding of the medication use system within the hospital
• A wide array of teaching opportunities as well as teaching certification, if interested
• A committed group of preceptors to facilitate an optimal learning experience based on the principles of the ASHP Residency Standards 

Program Qualifications

• Graduation from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
• Pharm.D. degree or equivalent experience
• Cumulative GPA ≥ 2.9
• Board eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• Candidates on a visa must be eligible for an entire year of residency training. A six-month visa sponsorship will not be considered as it does not meet the needs of the program.
• Ambulatory setting candidates must be eligible for licensure to administer injectables in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
