GSK (Value Evidence and Outcomes department) and Rutgers Center for Health Outcomes, Policy, and Economics (HOPE) are partnering to offer an exciting two-year fellowship in the highly sought field of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).
This program will build a solid foundation in clinical and economic outcomes evaluation through hands-on industry experience at GSK (where the fellow will spend most of the time) and academically-based research at HOPE, working with leaders at both sites. Leadership training, teaching, and precepting opportunities, and collaborative experiences with GSK’s Market Access, Global, and US Health Outcomes teams will also be offered to enhance the learning experience. Graduates will have a strong understanding of the value of pharmaceuticals in global healthcare systems and will be prepared for positions in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, pharmacy benefit management, or consulting.
Coursework towards a Master of Science in HOPE is a formal program component. Competitive stipend, tuition remission, medical and dental insurance, vacation, and sick days are provided. Must have a PharmD or PhD degree in pharmaceutical health services, economics, or administrative sciences.

Selected applicants will be invited to a first-round virtual interview in early November. Top applicants will be invited to a second-round virtual interview with additional colleagues from GSK and Rutgers HOPE.
Applicants will be notified of the final decision by December 7th, 2022. The selected applicant will receive additional instructions on completing a job application through the Rutgers University online job portal.
Selection of the Fellow will be on a competitive basis from a national pool of candidates with doctoral scientific and/or clinical training (e.g., PharmD or Ph.D.) and a demonstrated interest in health economics and outcomes research.
