Specialist Position - Wells Lab Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry University of California, San Francisco
The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is seeking a Specialist at the Full rank in the laboratory of Dr. Jim Wells. The appointee in this position will develop and maintain the custom LIMS system established in the Antibiome Center as part of Recombinant Antibody Network. Day-to-day work will include interfacing with the laboratory and automation scientists to maintain and expand workflows and data within the LIMS. These workflows are to be synergized such that separate institutions are enabled to collaborate and maintain independent project security requirements.
Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions and may participate in University and Public Service. Appointees at the Full level should have significant record of academic accomplishment including published or in-press publication, and a demonstrated record of University and/or public service. Additionally, appointees at the Full level will provide considerable independence in planning and execution of research.
Required Qualifications: * Specialists appointed at the Full rank must possess a terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of experience in the relevant specialization
