Summary

The Pharmacy Operations Manager assists the Pharmacy Director in management and supervision of all operational activities of the Central Pharmacy Services through supervision of pharmacists and supportive staff. The pharmacy operations manager, in coordination with department leadership will coordinate all activities related to the central pharmacy, continually monitoring for opportunities to improve cost and efficiency. The operations manager interfaces with other healthcare professionals to create, implement, and monitor workflow policies, practices, and services. This position is responsible for assuring that quality distributive and pharmaceutical practices are provided by a competent staff and also directly provides patient care as necessary. The operations manager represents the department of pharmacy through collaboration with multidisciplinary committees, teams and individuals in order to continuously improve the use of medications in the Cook system.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy, Pharm.D preferred.
• Advanced clinical/leadership training; i.e. pharmacy practice and/or specialty residency or 5+ years of experience in practice with operational and leadership skills.
• Process improvement or project management experience a plus.
• Pediatric pharmacy experience and/or Advanced degree preferred.
• Registered pharmacist with Texas licensure (or eligible)
