Our location in Lake County, Illinois currently has an opportunity for a Connected Products Program Manager to work within Abbott's Digital Technology Services group. As a Connected Products Program Manager, you will play a critical role in defining and delivering connected product platforms to meet Abbott's business needs.
We are looking for a candidate who understands the big picture and guides their team through delivering technology-driven innovation. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, strong technically, and have strong management and interpersonal skills. They should have led the delivery of complex systems with multiple years of building IOT platforms and applications with experience in a regulated cloud computing environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead IT activities for connected product implementations globally
Actively lead and manage all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation through closure, including project planning, contract management, project execution, and tracking and reporting.
Collaborate with and leverage cross-functional teams to build a platform with capabilities to streamline systems, improve scalability, increase availability and reliability of services
Coordinate and manage a diverse team to deliver results on time with high quality
Develop detailed project schedules, estimates, and resource plans
Proactively manage scope, actions, issues, and risks to ensure project success
Coordinate and monitor timely and effective completion of actions
Collaborate and interface with all levels of management, key stakeholders, including end users, business teams, and service partners
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in software engineering, business, information systems, or a discipline closely related to the client area served
10+ years of overall experience, including 5 years in project/program management experience which may also include systems consulting, employee development, and strategic system planning input
Knowledge of software development practices (e.g. Agile/Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
Experience working in an FDA-regulated business (e.g. validated software related to medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences products)
Experience managing programs with IoT technologies
Demonstrated success as a Program / Project Manager
Experience interfacing with senior-level stakeholders
