Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals in Pakistan is currently recruiting a an Assistant Finance Controller to support the Commercial operations based in Karachi.
Primary Objective of Position:
As Assistant Controller - FP&A, you will be key partner to Director Finance and Commercial team in delivering Business & Financial targets. You will be responsible for financial planning, rolling forecasts, analysis and reporting for the business. You will coordinate with area finance and local commercial team in terms of financial plan/LBEs/actuals reviews and ensures area & division requirements are met. In addition, you will ensure all controls are maintained consistent with Corporate and Division Financial policies and procedures as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Drive development and preparation of solid financial business plans and underlying analysis to ensure affiliate delivers its financial commitments.
Perform variance analysis and identify key drivers in support of business decisions; provide valuable insight to influence business achieve financial goals.
Lead Plan, rolling forecast and latest estimates related submissions along with all schedules in timely manner.
Oversee monthly closing process including journal entry preparation, spend review, variance analyses, and reporting of month end results to management
Regular review of Cash Flow parameters and Balance sheet; and identify/lead corrective actions with business and CFS team, to ensure EPD delivers its cash flow commitments.
Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports.
Provide ad-hoc analyses to support complex decision making, and present recommendations to management and business leaders; serve as financial lead in cross-functional team environments.
Review and approve business operating expenditures and commitments in line with authorization matrix.
Review of customer credit terms, products pricing & discounts, and others to ensure compliance with approved limits and margin targets.
Review processes and procedures and recommend measures for mitigating risks.
Ensure clean audits and compliance of Abbott Financial Policies and Procedures.

Education/Knowledge & Experience:
CA /ACCA / MBA (Finance)
7 - 8 years' industry experience is must, preferably in pharmaceutical segment
FP&A experience of 3-4 years is mandatory. Higher experience is preferable
