The #InnovationLab in Chicago Downtown is an accelerator for data-driven solutions at Abbott. We use state of the art #technologies to solve complex health challenges and develop cost-efficient, reliable solutions. Our location in Chicago currently has an opportunity for a senior data technologist with expert-level knowledge of data warehouse design and implementation, data lake design and implementation, business intelligence tools and reporting, application development lifecycle, and busines solution architecture. This is a hands-on role where the individual will be responsible for the business requirement analysis, data profiling, data strategy, data modeling and design, data architecture and liaison with business and technology teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Primary Function
- Provide data leadership and oversight in analytical solutions development as related to analytics initiatives
- Participate in development of data strategies, technology components and roadmaps in big data and advanced analytics
- Use data and insight to solve business problems, drive superior customer experience and transform our business
- Coordinate System Development Lifecyle deliverables with the project manager and work with busines, project manager, and delivery team to ensure a quality product is delivered.
- Function in an agile environment and must also collaborate with rest of the to work together in an agile fashion, jointly own the solution, and interface well with other parts of the organization.

- Part of the centralized team responsible for conceptualizing, developing and maintaining Advanced Analytics products within Abbott
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Experience
- 15+ years of application development experience in business intelligence, data engineering, big data platforms and/or digital products.
- Expertise in Data Profiling, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and familiarity with Data Governance
- Experience with analytics implementation projects on Azure and/or AWS cloud
- Strong customer centric approach with outstanding leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, actionable manner
- Excellent facilitation and influence skills for insight driven culture change
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent vendor management skills
- Ability to prioritize and triage deadline-driven tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working in an FDA-regulated business (e.g. validated software related to medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences products) is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience/ Master's Degree preferred
