Clinical Pharmacy Faculty Search, UCSF School of Pharmacy
The UCSF School of Pharmacy, Department of Clinical Pharmacy, is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. The UCSF School of Pharmacy has been the national leader in NIH research funding for 41 years, and is widely recognized for innovation in pharmacy practice and education.
The successful candidate will be balanced in teaching, research and service. The candidate will also be expected to provide clinical services consistent with their area of practice expertise and department needs. These positions will report to the Chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy.
The successful candidate will have graduated from a college/school of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. The successful candidate shall have completed at least a PGY1 pharmacy residency or have equivalent skills and experience by the start date of the position. The candidate will either be licensed in California as a pharmacist, or become licensed within six months of hire. Candidate's application materials must list current (or pending) qualification upon submission. High priority in selection will be given to candidates with experience in a pharmacy practice setting (acute, ambulatory, community, managed care, or population health), evidence of excellent communication, clinical, and teaching skills, excellent organizational and administrative skills, and strong potential for academic advancement as evidenced by a record of or potential for research/creative accomplishments. Special consideration will be given to those candidates whose practice or research interests include development or evaluation of innovative models of pharmacy care. One position will be based in Sacramento to support Greater Sacramento Experiential Education Program and affiliated with UC Davis Health to practice in the ambulatory care setting.
