WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a member of the Digital Solutions team, reporting to the IT Director, strategic digital programs, you will develop, execute and manage IT projects that will reduce the overall technical debt of the corporation and to deliver on digital solutions at Abbott.
Initiate and Plan IT Projects
Works with business and IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables
Partner with Business and IT leaders to drive digital business needs, use cases and prioritization
Manage external delivery partners to ensure project scope, objectives and milestones are met.
Manage the delivery of Strategic Digital and technical debt projects with responsibility for Quality, Costs, Delivery and Risk
Building a customer obsessed culture that focuses on customer success as its primary goal
Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all project activities are performed.
Establish frameworks to track milestones, goals and objectives, communicate progress and help identify issues early on
Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects, working with department and division management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution
Measure project financials to ensure project is progressing as compared to the original plan and budget
Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support to Project Team, Division, Cross Division and Executive Management. Makes recommendations based on current project status to resolve issues.
Provide Agile best practices across the organization
Develop processes that improve team productivity
Resource and Team Management
Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based on their abilities
Supervise, motivates and mentors cross-functional/cross-divisional project team of developers and validation analysts
Manages projects at the department or division level
Makes strategic decisions that impact department or Divisions/sites. Final decision authority for project level budget and activities
Direct Budgetary Responsibility: 0-$2M
Business Impact and Risk: 0-$5M in business financial impact. Important to business run. Division affected.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline
Minimum 6 years of experience in project management, business systems analysis, or software development; preferred experience in delivering IT solutions in an enterprise digital and e-commerce landscape
Experience or familiarity with technologies and best practices in areas not limited to: Customer experience, Business Intelligence, CRM, marketing/sales automation, web content management, e-commerce, PCI, mobile solutions, social engagement, data driven marketing (DMP), and health care
Excellent track record in delivering cross functional programs
Strong leadership skills
Knowledge of software development practices (e.g. Agile/Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
Knowledge of quality processes.
Experience working in matrix global organization where success requires broad orchestration of resources and services
Experience working in an FDA-regulated business (e.g. validated software related to medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences products) and PCI regulated business is preferred
