About Montgomery Village Eyecare
Montgomery Village Eye Center was first established in 1994 and is dedicated to providing a full spectrum of high-quality personalized eye care. Serving the residents and families in the Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village area, the team of professionals offer comprehensive eye care, pediatric eye care, the diagnoses and treatment of ocular diseases, emergency eye care, specialty contact lenses, and surgical co-management for laser eye surgery. The business is conveniently located on a central street with excellent visibility and adjacent to the Lakeforest Mall. To support future business growth, the practice is looking to add an Optometrist to the team of nine employees.
Montgomery Village Eye Center uses state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well equipped with advanced technology including, autorefractors, Humphry visual fields, optical coherence tomography, Optos, and a topographer. As the business is fully staffed, the practice flow runs smoothly, enabling the Optometrist to care for 15 to 18 patients daily. Customers enjoy browsing a large selection of designer eyewear, from classic styles to the latest fashionable frames. The Opticians provide personalized attention to help patients find the best fit, look, and functionality for all visual needs--plus, the optical department carries frames for every budget, including designer lines, sunglasses, and safety glasses for sports.
About the Optometrist Opening
Montgomery Village Eye Center is seeking a well-rounded Optometrist passionate about providing personalized patient-focused care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care. You'll perform comprehensive vision examinations, recommend treatment and products to improve vision, recommend lens options and contact lenses for visual needs, and educate patients about their ocular health. The practice is looking for a personable, honest, reliable, and caring doctor with excellent patient communication skills. The Optometrist is not required to work evenings or weekends, and the practice will allow flexibility in regards to weekly hours. Additionally, the Optometrist must be certified in therapeutic pharmaceutical agents--and for the right doctor, a future partnership or ownership may be available.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
