In the role of Regional Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst you will be providing timely and accurate budgeting, reporting and analysis to the Region Finance Controller. You will also be supporting the Regional Commercial Organization with financial analysis and budgeting and work closely with country Business Excellence Managers, Finance and Demand Team and other key country stakeholders. This is a 1-year contract with the possibility to transition into a permanent position.
Assist Finance Controller in carrying out planning and reporting activities throughout Plan/LBE processes.
Prepare analytics packages for LBE reviews for the Region.
Perform quality checks and controls for Dodeca loads and templates submitted by countries.
Assist Finance Controller in preparing the templates and presentations for the LBE reviews, ensuring all relevant information is succinctly consolidated and ensuring the outputs are appropriately actioned
Prepare and Load Region HQ expense forecasts. Support Regional commercial organization in preparing the department budget.
Provide support in BS, Capital, DSO & DOH planning activities.
Forecast / Month End Process:
Assist Finance Controller in consolidating and reviewing Weekly Sales and P&L forecast and supply situation for the region as provided by countries.
Provide support in H56 and Product Margin month end reporting activities.
Consolidate Month end reports from countries to prepare Region reporting to Area. Assist Finance Controller in reviewing the Countries submissions and preparing commentary for variances.
Provide support in BS, Capital, DSO & DOH month end reporting activities.
Manage and control Region HQ expenses and ensure that month end process and accounting entries are accurately reflected.
Work closely with in Region marketing / legal / training / commercial to develop accurate expense forecasts and ensure compliant PO procedure.
Prepare Region Management reporting package to highlight performance variances vs LBE/PLAN.
Track PEX and other Performance KPI's for Finance & Demand Team.
Assist Region IBP/BEX Manager in monthly IBP process, related to Sales reconciliation and consolidation and related slides as well as Operational KPI's consolidation.
Assist Marketing organization with ROI models usage, be a point of contact and SME for evaluating project ROI.
Assist Finance Controller with ad hoc reports and analysis to highlight risks and opportunities as requested.
Work to continually provide process improvements that benefit the region and provide improved efficiency and/or efficacy.
Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance / Accounting related disciplines
High level of numerical ability.
Highly analytical with a demonstrable track record of achieving successful results utilising varied and complex information sources.
Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload.
Ability to produce high quality reports with minimal errors.
Strong commitment and willing to take ownership of issues.
Dynamic, motivated team player with result-oriented attitude
Must have excellent system skills, aptitude and experience, especially Excel and preferably PowerPoint, SAP and IBM Cognos
Good communication skills, with the ability to network across several different countries and departments both within the division and more broadly across Abbott.
Comfortable making recommendations to Senior Managers based on analysis of data and information.
Fluency in English
Experience in analytical role is an advantage but not mandatory
Finance background is an advantage but not mandatory
